Legend has it that the gorge opened miraculously upon the passage of Saint George to allow him to cross the mountain. Tenacious holm oaks, thyme, and strawberry trees cling to the rock crevices, while the highest viewpoints offer breathtaking panoramas over the entire Pardu Valley.

Just a short distance away, you can visit the ruins of the ghost village of Osini Vecchio—abandoned after the 1951 flood—as well as the Nuraghe Serbissi archaeological complex with its characteristic cave beneath.
