Not far from Nule, the Nuraghe Voes strikes the eye with the extraordinary complexity of its tripartite architecture.
This is not a simple isolated tower, but a refined trilobate bastion made of light and well-crafted granite blocks, where three secondary towers connected by curtain walls enclose the main tower, creating an imposing and symmetrical bulk.
Beyond the lintelled entrance facing south, an articulated system of passages and hypogeum corridors carved into the enormous thickness of the walls leads to the interior rooms. The chamber of the central tower preserves a large-proportioned tholos dome, extraordinarily well preserved, which reveals incredible static mastery in managing loads and cuts of light. The perimeter openings and overlapping galleries still allow one to move inside the structure, grasping the logistical ingenuity with which flows and defenses were organized.
In the panorama of the plateau, the Nuraghe Voes stands out for the clarity of its design and the care in the texture of the masonry facings. More than a simple stronghold, the site presents itself as a masterpiece of prehistoric engineering, where sunlight enhances the hue of the granite and defines the outlines of one of the most fascinating monuments in north-central Sardinia.
