Since 2015, the restaurant L’Ulivo, located in the heart of Gonnosfanadiga, has become a true reference point for those who wish to experience the most authentic flavours of Sardinian and Campidanese tradition. Its cuisine focuses on fresh, locally sourced ingredients and a continuous pursuit of quality. The menu changes frequently, following the seasons, the daily catch, and the availability of raw ingredients, offering a constantly evolving experience—even for returning guests.
Among the most appreciated dishes are semolina-coated and fried octopus with potato cream, fresh raw seafood, and dry-aged meats prepared on-site, including beef, suckling pig, Sardinian sheep, and duck, all grilled over an open barbecue. A cuisine that celebrates both land and sea, enhancing their authenticity and natural flavours.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is made even more special by the history of the building itself—an old late 19th-century house, fully renovated in 2015 while preserving its original character. Stone lintels, exposed walls, and the original fireplace still tell the story of the house today, creating warm, welcoming, and characterful spaces. During the warmer months, guests can also dine outdoors in the private courtyard, enjoying a more intimate and relaxed experience.
The property also offers comfortable and carefully designed guest rooms, making it an ideal choice for those who wish to slow down and fully experience the atmosphere of Gonnosfanadiga, while enjoying a stay centred on relaxation and authentic local flavours.
Its central location makes it an excellent base for exploring the Medio Campidano area and the Costa Verde, among archaeological sites, mountains, and striking natural landscapes: from the Giants’ Tomb of San Cosimo to the trails of Monte Linas, passing through the Perd’e Pibera Park and the wild beaches of Marina di Arbus, with its golden dunes and some of the most evocative scenery on the island.
