A white limestone wall plunging straight into the blue, where Sardinia suddenly ends and leaves the rest to the wind: the Cliffs of Su Tingiosu (Falesie di Su Tingiosu) form a spectacular three-kilometer stretch of coastline marking the northern boundary of San Vero Milis on the Sinis Peninsula. This ivory cliffface—reaching heights of up to twenty-five meters—drops sheer into the crystal-clear waters of the Sardinian Sea.
Across the top of this plateau there are no roads or buildings, only a scenic trail whipped by the Mistral wind, tailor-made for hiking or mountain biking. Carved by waves and the elements, the rock is honeycombed with sea caves, hidden coves, and small natural arches. Peregrine falcons and Audouin's gulls nest among the crevices and lentisk bushes, while sweeping views stretch across the horizon all the way to the solitary outline of Mal di Ventre Island.
Following the crest of Su Tingiosu is also the finest way to link together some of the Oristano coast's greatest treasures. The trail connects the northern edge of Mari Ermi Beach to the tip of Capo Mannu—the undisputed paradise for surfers—offering easy detours toward the transparent coves of S'Anea Scoada or the breathtaking sands of Mesa Longa.
