An earthen mound, rubble, and dense Mediterranean scrub wrap around the base of the Lobaos nuraghe in the territory of Aidomaggiore, hiding its original entrance and a large part of its perimeter.
Only the upper portion of the tower emerges from the vegetation, yet it still retains a well-defined truncated-cone shape.
The medium and small-sized basalt blocks, dotted with light lichens, are overlapped in fairly orderly courses, bearing witness to the solidity of the construction technique despite its state of abandonment. The accumulation of debris and the collapse of the structure make the interior room inaccessible today, but the profile of the exposed stone stands out clearly against the plateau landscape.
Lobaos represents a typical example of a monument that has never been excavated and is left in its natural state, completely fused with the rural landscape among bushes, brambles, and scrub.
