Gallura

Archaeological Area Lu Brandali

If you have an unstoppable passion for archaeology and spend your days wondering what everyday life might have been like for prehistoric peoples, then this is the place that will answer your questions and satisfy your curiosity!

The archaeological park of Lu Brandali is located just outside Santa Teresa di Gallura, on a granite promontory covered in lush greenery, on the road to Capo Testa. From here, thanks to its elevated position, you can enjoy breathtaking views of one of the most spectacular stretches of the Gallura coastline—truly not a bad spot to build a Nuragic fortress.
The site, in its entirety, once consisted of a nuraghe, a village, and a Giants’ Tomb, which are still in fairly good condition today (especially considering they’re over 3,000 years old) and can be explored by wandering through the evergreen groves offered by the fragrant Mediterranean scrub.

Your journey into the ancient Nuragic world—and the many questions it raises—continues at the Exhibition of Nuragic Archaeology, where numerous artifacts are on display, shedding light on the daily lives of the people who inhabited these lands for centuries.
