On the northwestern coast of Gallura, within the municipal territory of Trinità d'Agultu e Vignola, the bay of Cala Canneddi stands out for the sharp chromatic contrast between the light, medium-grained sand and the rocky cliffs that completely enclose it.
The beach stretches for over three hundred meters between imposing formations of pink and red granite, sculpted over the centuries by the dominant Mistral winds and the constant action of sea waves.
The seabed slopes gradually toward the open sea, alternating sections of fine sand with granite shoals that create ideal shelters for local fish fauna. The water maintains a constant clarity with shades ranging from turquoise to emerald, while behind the beach, the Mediterranean maquis—rich in junipers and mastic trees—stabilizes the dune deposits and wraps around the entire natural inlet of this stretch of Sardinian coast.
Sheltered to the north by the promontory of Punta Canneddi and close to the village of Isola Rossa, the cove constitutes a geographical landing point well integrated into the landscape of the Costa Rossa. The outcropping cliffs on either side of the shore constantly attract diving and snorkeling enthusiasts, confirming this coastline as one of the most characteristic landscape destinations of the entire northern tip of our island.
