The Flumendosa valley guards the imposing Nuragic complex of Asoru, perched on a strategic height in the territory of San Vito to oversee the communication route between the mountains and the sea.
The structure is composed of a solid central tower surrounded by defensive bastions and curtain walls made of large blocks of local granite.
On the slopes of the fortress extend the remains of a large hut village, inhabited stably during the Bronze Age and in subsequent eras by communities dedicated to agriculture, pastoralism, and commercial exchanges. Archaeological excavations conducted in the area have yielded artifacts of great value that testify to the cultural and social liveliness of ancient Sarrabus. Thanks to targeted restoration and enhancement interventions, the site has been returned to public use, allowing one to admire the majesty of the megalithic architecture.
