Located just a short distance from the archaeological park of Scerì, within the municipal territory of Ilbono, the Texere giants' tomb reveals itself as a silent guardian of Ogliastra's ancient memories.

This imposing Bronze Age funerary monument welcomes the visitor along the access path, standing as a fundamental piece in understanding the sacred and residential landscape created by the local Nuragic communities.
The corridor masonry retains the use of large granite blocks dry-laid in place, with the entrance lintel still marking the residual opening toward the internal burial chamber. Despite partial collapses that have affected the exedra and the crowning of the structure, the overall volumes allow one to perceive the architectural embrace that the tribe collectively reserved for its deceased, uniting the functional aspect of the burial with the high ritual value of the site.

Immersed among the scents of the Mediterranean maquis and the shade of holm oaks and wild olive trees, the burial offers an authentic glimpse into the religiosity of prehistoric Sardinia. The immediate proximity to the Scerì archaeological complex underlines the close bond that existed between the world of the living and that of the dead, making this stop an essential piece for anyone wishing to explore the island's ancient soul.
